TikTok is currently the social network par excellence, and the hours spent watching videos can be simply endless (aside from those eye-catching and trending filters). However, there’s one interaction that you can get rid of directly, allowing videos to play one after another without having to do anything. In other words, you can avoid the downward gesture to play the next video and stop the infinite loop of the current video.
Video content in vertical format has been propelled by TikTok to such an extent that Instagram and other social networks were inspired a few years ago to bring it to Reels and other experiences. This has led to a significant increase in the consumption of this type of multimedia content worldwide. So, tricks like this come in handy to keep playing the trendiest content from your mobile phone.
This trick simply makes the videos play one after another automatically, eliminating the need to tap the screen. The way to apply it is quite simple: you press and hold the screen, and a window with different options for sharing and tools will appear at the top of that card.
You then tap on the “Auto-scroll” icon, and you’re done. Now, when you go back to playing videos, they will automatically scroll down, allowing you to simply hold your phone and watch TikTok videos fly one after another. It’s a very straightforward way to scroll through videos without having to touch the screen each time, but you can always cancel the continuous playback or auto-scrolling if you want.
Once you set up this playback mode, a button with an arrow pointing upwards and a line above it will appear in the top right corner. By tapping on this button, you can return to manual scrolling, which requires the familiar touch gesture in TikTok. It’s an easy way to even leave your tablet or phone with TikTok playing continuously and enjoy all those trending videos.
TikTok is not only known for its videos but also for its fantastic filters, which sometimes become trends because of how realistic they can be. Either way, TikTok will continue to be there for the hundreds of millions of people who use it daily.
