We’re just over a month away from the release of Spider-Man 2. Many fans are excited about what’s to come, especially those who played the first installment and Spider-Man Miles Morales. Insomniac Games has been releasing trailers little by little, and the information released so far has been rather scarce.
There have been few people who have seen the new Spider-Man title, and so far, the words have been very positive. One of the fortunate ones has been the Director of Sound Design at PlayStation Studios, Jeremie Villot, who, through LinkedIn, has dedicated some kind words to the audio team at Insomniac Games and also about Spider-Man 2.
“I want to take a minute to praise the incredible sound team at Insomniac, a wonderful and talented group of people to work with. I’m not sure if the world is ready for what they’re about to release: it’s impressive and, in my humble opinion, their best work to date. Good luck until the finish line!” he says.
One of the latest aspects that Insomniac Games confirmed about Spider-Man 2 is regarding its resolution modes. It’s clear that Spider-Man 2 will reach 4K no matter what, although sacrifices will need to be made. In terms of gameplay, it was confirmed that its open world will be larger thanks to a new area to fight crime: Coney Island.
