The first-generation Google Pixel Watch has been a success that has positioned the company as one of the world’s leading smartwatch manufacturers. With its successor, the Pixel Watch 2, the company aims to repeat its winning formula, and it is expected to be unveiled soon.
According to some leaks, this new model will feature a material change with aluminum taking center stage, as well as a reduced weight that will make it more comfortable to wear on the wrist. Now, some of its wallpaper backgrounds have been leaked, revealing some details about the brand’s future device.
The Google Pixel Watch 2 will have redesigned wallpaper backgrounds, and it will even be able to use its colors throughout the interface, similar to Android mobile devices. There are several designs available, some using a digital format and others analog. The company appears to be implementing dynamic theming for the interface, just like in its mobile phones.
Google will include new watch faces for the Pixel Watch 2, all following its Material You design principles, with visually appealing rounded shapes that make it easy to read the information displayed on the device. The variety of colors is also quite evident.
In this regard, Google is also bringing dynamic colors to the smartwatch, similar to Android. This means that the system will use the predominant colors from the watch face in other parts of the interface to ensure a consistent overall aesthetic.
The themes will be available in various color options, and there will be small changes, such as the position of icons, to personalize the experience according to each user’s preference. Some watch faces will display more information on the main screen, while others will only show the time.
For watch faces using the analog format, users will have the option to enable or disable the second hand. It is also expected to come in a version with 4G connectivity and would feature a longer battery life due to the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1 processor, known for its high efficiency.
