Developer Behaviour Interactive has announced through a new YouTube trailer the date when Dead by Daylight players can enjoy new content based on Alien, the famous science fiction film series created by Ridley Scott. Starting from August 29th, players taking on the role of the Killer will be able to embody the Xenomorph, while Survivors will play as Ellen Ripley and explore a new setting that recreates the remains of the Nostromo.
It’s worth noting that the Xenomorph, Ellen Ripley, and the Nostromo’s remains are already available in Dead by Daylight’s public test version, but the downloadable content will be released on all platforms on August 29th. The Xenomorph features abilities that revolve around being a stealthy killer, using its sharp tail to attack Survivors, and walking on all fours to be even more discreet, thereby reducing its terror radius in the process.
“It’s a title with a very good proposition that can deliver matches as tense as they are interesting, although it never quite feels like a finished and polished product. Only three maps, one game mode, significant imbalances in both the progression system and the development of encounters, a very poor visual presentation with numerous bugs (at least, most of them are merely visual), and a lack of basic options that should be considered essential in a game of this nature nowadays. If its concept appeals to you, you’ll probably have a good time for a few hours, although if you’re seeking something more rounded and complete, you might prefer to wait and see how Behaviour Interactive manages post-launch content and updates for this multiplayer slasher,”.
