That’s right. Although the brand is expected to make a public statement confirming this information, Vivo Spain has just confirmed what many users of the BBK Electronics subsidiary were waiting for. In a context where the latest stable version of Google’s operating system has not yet finished being deployed, the company is ahead of the rest of the manufacturers by revealing the list of Vivo phones that will update to Android 14, presumably before the end of 2023.
Not one, not two, not three. Eight are the models of the brand that will receive the latest slice of Google’s cake, a slice of cake that is still in the testing phase, pending the arrival of Android 13 to all the phones that will update to that version. The company itself has just confirmed which Vivo phones will update to Android 14.
Specifically, the list consists of the following devices:
Setting aside the Y series, which currently represents the company’s entry-level and mid-range devices, the presence of the vivo X60 Pro stands out. It is the flagship model launched in the latter half of 2021. Regarding the update timeline, the Asian company has hinted that it will be scheduled for the end of the year, so it is likely that all the announced devices will be updated before the end of 2023. It remains to be seen whether the update will be released simultaneously for all devices or in a staggered manner based on the device range.
What about the rest of the devices? At the moment, vivo has not made any statements regarding this, but it is not ruled out that the list may be expanded with an official announcement from the company.
