The realme 12 Pro+ 5G arrives as one of the most ambitious photography options for this 2024. We’re facing a mobile device designed around its camera, boasting a premium design and some of the most interesting and advanced features of the current mid-range segment. The realme 12 Pro+ 5G features a massive 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution of 2,412 x 1,080 pixels (20:9 aspect ratio) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Additionally, it achieves a maximum brightness of 950 nits, providing ample intensity for clear visibility of the screen, even outdoors.
Its performance is driven by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, one of Qualcomm’s newest processors, boasting a 4-nanometer node size and eight cores clocked at 2.4 GHz. Furthermore, it comes with 12 GB of RAM and a non-expandable 512 GB internal storage.
The main attraction of the realme 12 Pro+ 5G is its camera. It features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. Paired with it is a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B telephoto lens with an f/2.8 aperture and 3X optical zoom, which, combined with computational photography and AI, can capture high-quality photos of the moon. Finally, to complete the trio, it includes an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture.
On the front, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.4 aperture and support for FullHD 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second. This lens is also from Sony, like the main and telephoto lenses, although realme does not specify the model in this case.
Some of the most interesting photographic functions and modes of the realme 12 Pro+ 5G include street photography mode, which optimizes the scene using Artificial Intelligence to obtain the best possible shot. There’s also the Super NightScape mode, which is the default night mode designed for general use to reduce noise and improve detail in low-light conditions.
Of course, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G also includes portrait mode, as well as the Pro Starry Mode, which is specially designed to capture the night sky along with the stars with unmatched quality. Additionally, it offers various AI functions, beauty filters, and text scanner, among other features. For video recording, there’s slow motion, Time-Lapse, and cine mode, which blurs the background to give more prominence to the subject of the video.
Another aspect worth highlighting is that the camera design of this mid-range device was done in collaboration with Claudio Miranda, the Oscar-winning Best Cinematography, and Olivier Saveó, a famous international luxury watch designer. Hence, the elegant appearance of the rear camera module of this device.
The phone is also equipped with a massive 5,000 mAh capacity battery that supports 67W fast charging. Additionally, it includes its charger in the box, as well as a protective case. But there’s more. It also comes with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, facial recognition, and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res certification for superior audio quality. Moreover, it features IP65 water and dust resistance, making it splash-proof. As for the software, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G comes with the latest, which is Android 14 under the realme UI 5.0 customization layer.

The realme 12 Pro+ 5G is now available in Spain and comes with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage space. This model has a price of around 500 euros, but it will have a discount of 100 euros between March 20th and 25th, so its price will be around 400 euros only for those days. It is available for purchase in blue or beige color options.
