WhatsApp is the default communication tool, whether it’s for texting, sending photos, videos, or voice notes. It has become the app that everyone must have, and it’s no wonder that it was the reason many people switched from a regular phone to a smartphone.
However, despite the many recent updates, such as the new interface, message editing, inclusion of channels for staying informed on any topic, the ability to use WhatsApp on two mobile phones simultaneously, preventing anyone from reading your WhatsApp messages, or creating usernames, it still lacked some features that other apps like Telegram or Duo (now Meet) had.
One of these features is the one that is appearing to some users, which is the ability to share your mobile phone screen with the person you are having a video call with on WhatsApp.
This function has been used many times to show certain things on the mobile phone used for the video call, but it is especially practical when you need to explain to someone how to do something on their phone visually.
This way, that person can share their screen with us, and we can explain how to modify certain settings on their phone, such as turning off the sound, changing a configuration, etc. As shown in the image, a new icon will appear that allows us to share the screen when we tap on it.
According to WABetaInfo, this feature is appearing for some users of the beta version available on the Google Play Store. Later on, if there are no issues, it will be rolled out to the stable version, and that will be the moment when everyone can use it.
It’s important to note that a feature in the beta version will not work with someone who does not have the beta version but rather the stable version, as both devices, the one making the video call and the one receiving it, must have a compatible version of the application with this feature.
