Do you want to share internet and data from your Samsung Galaxy A54? While it may seem like a complicated process, it’s actually quite simple and can be done with just a few steps.
You don’t need to have root access, install any external apps, or use third-party tools. The entire process can be done directly from the settings of your Samsung Galaxy A54.
You might want to share your mobile internet and data with a friend using your Samsung Galaxy A54, or with another one of your devices when you don’t have access to Wi-Fi at home.
There are several options you can use to achieve this from your Samsung phone, and one of them is enabling a mobile hotspot. Follow these steps from your mobile’s settings:
When you enable this option, you will receive a message asking you to disable your Wi-Fi to proceed and share your mobile data with other devices.
Once you’ve disabled Wi-Fi, tap on “Mobile Hotspot” (or “Shared Connection”) again to see the available configuration options, as shown in the first image, from network name to data usage limits you want to set for sharing.
If you tap on “Configure,” as shown in the image above, you’ll find several customization options. For example, you can set the network name that your friend will see when connecting, set a password, choose the band, and select whether to use a security protocol or leave it open, as shown in the second image.
If you choose “Advanced,” you’ll find additional settings that you might want to configure, such as setting a data usage limit for sharing with other devices. When you activate this option, mobile data sharing is automatically disabled when the established limit is reached.
You can also enable the option that automatically disables the connection if no devices are connected for a specific period. These options can save you some hassle when sharing your mobile data.
Once you’ve finished configuring these settings, you can start sharing your internet and data with other devices. You can share by providing the password for your friends to connect when they find your network, or you can share it through a QR code.
In the first image, you’ll notice an option at the bottom for “QR Code.” Simply tap on the icon to generate a QR code that your friend can scan using their mobile’s camera.
If you don’t want to create a mobile hotspot to share internet and mobile data from your Samsung Galaxy A54, you can consider the other options in the Mobile Hotspot section. For example, “Bluetooth Tethering” follows nearly the same configuration steps as described above.
