Whether you want to play music or video, Xiaomi has a default player that opens when you play content. However, you might have your favorite video or music player, and you want to replace the Xiaomi or POCO option.
One thing to note is that you won’t find this option in the settings of the default player or in the settings of your preferred app. To make this change, you need to have the app you want to use as a player installed and go through the phone settings, following a few steps:
You’ll see that “Mi Video” is listed as the default option for playing your videos, but you can easily change it to your preferred option. Just select the app you want to function as your video player, and the change will be made.
The same process can be applied to change the music player. Once this setting is changed, you’ll notice that when you want to listen to a song or watch a video, the player you’ve chosen will automatically open, without the need for any extra actions.
And don’t worry, it’s a change you can make as many times as you want, so you can choose a new default option in the future or go back to Xiaomi’s “Mi Video.”
