The Google Pixel 8 Pro will know if you have a fever or not: its design leaked with an integrated thermometer

You will know if you have a fever or not thanks to the new feature of the Google Pixel 8 Pro, which has just been leaked in a promotional video showcasing its complete design.

During the Google I/O event a few weeks ago, we witnessed the launch of three new Google devices: the Google Pixel 7a, Google Pixel Fold, and Google Pixel Tablet. This new trio includes two smartphones and a tablet, but many users were hoping that the folks at Mountain View would reveal something about the upcoming Google Pixel 8 Pro.

We didn’t have to wait long for this, and in fact, today the complete design and one of the most unusual features we expected to find in a Google Pixel 8 Pro have been leaked. This mobile device will be capable of measuring temperature so that you know if you have a fever or not.

Yes, you read that right. The Google Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to come with a temperature sensor on its back, allowing it to act as a thermometer. You won’t have to go to the medicine cabinet in your bathroom anymore; soon, all you’ll have to do is take out your Google Pixel 8 Pro from your pocket to know your temperature.

This temperature sensor would be located on the back of the device, right in the camera module of the new Google Pixel 8 Pro. How did this come to light? It was thanks to a leak from 91mobiles, where a video can be seen explaining in detail how to measure temperature with this Google phone.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro will have a temperature sensor that will let you know if you have a fever

This feature has surprised all users because no one expects a device to be capable of this. It’s not the first time a phone integrates a health-related functionality. Samsung has already done this with several of its Galaxy phones that could measure heart rate using an infrared sensor.

The operation of this feature is interesting, although it implies that users will have to follow certain recommendations to measure their temperature. You will need to initiate the functionality, remove your glasses if you’re wearing any, move your hair aside, place the Google Pixel 8 Pro parallel to your forehead at the closest distance possible, and move it from one temporal lobe to another.

With the leak of this feature, the design of the Google Pixel 8 Pro has also been revealed, which is practically identical to that of the Google Pixel 7 Pro. However, this time the camera module has considerable dimensions, suggesting the possibility of accommodating larger sensors. We will have to wait for its release to know the details.
