First leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S24: titanium frames and more battery

The Samsung Galaxy S24 will be the next premium smartphones from Samsung, and although they are expected to arrive early next year, there are already some leaks talking about their components and improvements, and it seems that the construction materials and battery will be some of the most important ones.

These are two key points in premium devices that, after all, must take care of every detail to meet the needs and tastes of the most demanding users. In addition, leaks have also surfaced talking about significant improvements in the fast charging of the brand’s flagship devices.

It is no secret that the Samsung Galaxy S family attracts a lot of attention, so it is normal for the company to seek to improve the experience they offer every year.

The Galaxy S24 will improve

For this new generation, Samsung wants to raise the bar in terms of materials, leaving aluminum aside and switching to titanium frames, as leaked by IceUniverse. This material is more durable and also more expensive, so it could imply a slight price increase. The weight could also increase because this material is less lightweight than aluminum.

On the other hand, the battery capacity could grow compared to the current generation of Galaxy S23. There is no information about the base model, which would benefit the most from this increase, as it currently has a capacity of 3,900 mAh. The Galaxy S24 Plus, on the other hand, would increase from 4,700 mAh to 4,900 mAh. The S24 Ultra would maintain its 5,000 mAh.

The battery improvements can also occur thanks to an increase in processor efficiency. In this regard, there are still many unknowns, and it is not entirely clear whether these smartphones will continue to use Qualcomm processors or if they will return to Exynos for this new generation. The company has just launched several products in its Samsung Unpacked event, including the Galaxy Flip 5 and Fold 5, so another premium range launch is not expected until next year.
