The Find N3 Flip has been leaked: OPPO will finally bring the most desired camera to foldable smartphones

Foldable smartphones are still not up to par with the advanced features of regular smartphones. Battery life and photography are two battlefronts that companies like Samsung, Motorola, and many others are still dealing with. However, OPPO, with its upcoming Find N3 Flip, is poised to make a significant and impactful proposition: a trio of cameras that will position it uniquely against the competition.

In this trio of cameras, there is one standout feature, as revealed in the recent leak. If we take a look at the camera specifications of devices like the Z Flip 4 or the Razr 40 Ultra, they typically consist of a primary camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera, but they lack the camera that the N3 Flip includes. Even the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5, unless there is a last-minute surprise, will also not feature this crucial camera that will be available on OPPO’s next foldable device.

An image render of an early-stage prototype (EVT) of the OPPO Find N3 Flip has been leaked. This is the first time a leak of the Chinese company’s upcoming foldable smartphone has surfaced. At first glance, the design follows the pattern seen in the Find N2 Flip, with the characteristic form factor featuring a large external display, which is also present in the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5, according to the latest press image leaks.

The camera module retains its rounded corners and bears the OPPO and Hasselblad branding at the bottom, with a disruptive element that will make it a unique foldable device: instead of a dual-camera system, it features three cameras. This system is composed of the same cameras found in the OPPO Reno 10 Pro, as reported by the source. It includes a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32 MP telephoto camera. This last camera is the key differentiating factor compared to other Flip-type foldable devices available in the market.

According to 91mobiles, the rest of the specifications align with what was seen in the OPPO Find N2 Flip, so there are few new features in this regard for now. The Find N2 Flip arrivedin February of this year, so it’s possible that other manufacturers will follow OPPO’s lead and include a telephoto camera. This represents a significant step toward foldable smartphones approaching the advanced experiences of traditional smartphones.
